If you put 7 and 10 to comparison to me there is not enough improvements to warrant learning the new lay out. The selling point for me is that when they will no longer update Windows 7 there will be 5 years left of support on windows 10.

Thanks, that's good to know. I've been very upset about how long it took me to do anything on this blasted laptop. I've never had this much trouble before. Today we went to Best Buy and got a long cable and SR direct connected me, instead of using Wi-Fi. It had gotten so bad that I have one of those stretchy bands like the one that got Harry Reid and would do a set of exercises before what I needed would finally come up. It's a lot better now. Maybe I can keep this laptop for a while longer.

So far windows 10 has been exceptional, I installed the new consumer release on my work computer and it is operating well.
Previously this computer had lock up and shut down issues, it operates perfectly now with half the processor load.
I'm still testing new test builds on my dell quad core, test version is still having a Texas Instruments USB3 driver issue.

One question only. We have until June next year to do the update, right?

Not sure but I think that is correct, once you have it installed you have 30 days to roll it back to previous version.

in the Fall. Assuming our house is still there...

I will wait until you work with the sept version for a while.

I changed my mind and just did the upgrade.

It went smooth! Looks like lots of new stuff but at
least my day to day stuff is up and looks the same.
    At least for now!

May the FORCE be with you!
