The beast can't be starved. It prints its own food supply.

That's more of an appropriations problem than a financial problem.

    And it's CIC. ;)

Nobody is arguing about military spending. Maybe we should just give slightly fewer handouts to crackheads in Detroit.
**** Obama and **** you too.

No, actually - it simply a matter of leadership.;)
At Coretta Scott King's funeral in early 2006, Ethel Kennedy, the widow of Robert Kennedy, leaned over to him and whispered, "The torch is being passed to you." "A chill went up my spine," Obama told an aide. (Newsweek)

Then get your congressman to spend more on Vets. It's simply that simple.

I know I'll be cutting way back on buying things. We're in for a rough time financially, first with the meltdown caused by the Democrats' stupid subprime loan scheme, secondly with putting absolutely the worst possible candidate in the White House at this moment in time. A purchase I will be making will be a firearm. After decades of not feeling the need to own one, I certainly feel that need now!

So, in my own way, I'll be "starving the beast".

I think I'm going to shop more. I figured out that putting my money in the stock market, to save for the future, only lost me money. Same for my retirement. When I put it in the bank, more taxes and the chance that the bank is going to go under. I've realized the only smart thing to do is to buy things. So I'm going shopping. In Delaware, of course...no sales tax. :)

Obviously, this is not a workable plan. I welcome the answer regarding LLCs, though. It struck me as very odd, too. That's why I asked.
Cool Milly, and no one was jumping on you, it's just we've seen schemes
like this on DU all the time and they never amount to anything. Carry on! :D

I don't feel particulary jumped on. I asked because I wanted answers, and you guys came through, thanks.

That said, I think I most agree with PhillyGirl. With an inflationary dollar, I might as well try to identify next years needs and buy stuff now while it's relatively low priced. Mercifully, Indiana has no sales tax on food and it's always been my way to have a fully stocked pantry and freezer.

Gotta' get off now and go do some target practice.
