I'm an avid student of philosophy, political science and market economy, with a strong devotion to individualism, capitalism and the American way of life. Though I was born in Norway, and currently live here, I consider myself an "American in spirit", and intend to move there within a few years (most likely to Colorado). The great thinkers whom I admire the most are John Locke, Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson, Frédéric Bastiat, Ludwig von Mises, Ayn Rand and Aristotle. As a very critical thinker I have yet to find my faith, and currently consider myself a deist leaning towards Christianity. I'm a great admirer of the Jefferson Bible, and will soon undertake the study of Thomas Aquinas' "Summa Theologica".
A bit personal for an introduction perhaps, but I'm very interested in ideas, and look forward to debating these interests for the following four years, until it's time throw off some chains and start rebuilding – I only pray that a pro-capitalist candidate will rise from the ashes of the GOP.
In any case, I'm pleased to be here.
