    It's the anniversary again. One of those sad days in Michigan History that actually occurred in my lifetime and that I remember.


    Mariner's Church in Detroit will honor the day as always.

    The last of the pre-modern weather-tracking shipwrecks. I can't remember where I was... driving, probably. The storm stayed North. JP McCarthy, on WJR, was as somber as I've ever heard 'im.

    The technology to actually locate the wreck was 'ancient' for the 1970's as well. The Fitzgerald just disappeared for years. If the internet was around, it would've been a story that rivaled the vanishing of that Indonesian airliner.
