    * 6 large eggs, beaten
    * 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
    * Salt and pepper
    * 2 leeks, sauteed in the bacon drippings until soft
    * 1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
    * 1 1/2 cups shredded gruyere cheese
    * 1 (9-inch) refrigerated pie crust, fitted to a 9-inch glass pie plate

    Directions

    Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

    Combine the eggs, cream, salt, and pepper in a food processor or blender. Layer the leeks, bacon, and cheese in the bottom of the pie crust, then pour the egg mixture on top. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes until the egg mixture is set.

    For those that don't read the Dome for recipes, I thought I'd put it here. It's a variation of a Paula Deen quiche recipe. It got rave reviews from the deerless hunters.

    Yes. Today I looked at the reviews from the original recipe and everyone seemed to concur that it was a great basic recipe that can be customized with any kind of cheese or fillings you like.

    I forget to change that I used gruyere cheese instead of swiss. I bought some cheddar and may make a broccoli and cheddar one this week.

    I haven't tasted this quiche. But, as I said, the reviews were great for it.

    If using cheddar I would probably use ham instead of bacon (just my preference) and add broccoli to it.

    The original recipe called for spinach instead of the leeks.
