I didn't even need to watch the video to know that 97% consensus is completely inaccurate. The premise, however, the green fundamentalists are not allowed to spend their money in anyway to try and gear the country towards greener fuel sources is frightening. This video screams big oil propaganda.

"In 2012, documents acquired from The Heartland Institute revealed that Carter was paid a monthly fee of $1,667 (USD) "as part of a program to pay 'high-profile individuals who regularly and publicly counter the alarmist [anthropogenic global warming] message'. While Carter did not deny that the payments took place, he declined to discuss the payments. Carter emphatically denied that his scientific opinion on climate change could be bought."

To deny that humans, nor our emissions have any impact on our planet is foolish, and what big oil wants you to keep believing.

Yeah, that's the reason no one who disputes the so-called science is allowed to publish a paper, attend a conference or even be mentioned in polite company.

Ok, let me reel it back. My first response was far to angry, and wasn't going to solve anything. Apologies, I genuinely didn't think that post through all the way. Does this guy acknowledge that the growing human population is, or will in the near certain future, impact our environment?

Without question. It shows up everywhere- locally. But to believe that humans could change a total planets environment is the height of arrogance. Houston has finally acknowledged that uncontrolled growth in the floodplain is the major reason for the huge increase in flooding, pouring concrete by the ton over open ground does very bad things from creating heat islands to depriving aquifers of recharge.

But climate has changed and been changing to degrees man has yet to experience for over 2 Billion years that can be measured. You ain't seen heat yet compared to what was on the planet just before the beginning of the last ice age and, JIC no one is aware, we are still in a planetary ice age today.
