I am a retired corporate guy who became an Angus cattle rancher when I retired. There are only 8,000 people in my entire county. I am ecstatic over the presidential election and have high hopes for DJT. Finally we may have our sacred USA headed in the right direction. Looking forward to reading and posting in the forum.

Welcome to the board. I have a question, the universal question in Texas, were you an Aggie or a Longhorn? I lived in San Antonio for 7 years and that seemed to be the most popular topic.

Well, my Alma Mater is in Houston. Our ranch is 150 miles southwest of the Frogs...100 miles north of the Longhorns...and 175 miles northwest of Aggie Land. Ranchers, as you know, have an intimate relationship with the soil, hence my screen name "Agman"....agriculture. We are in constant contact with A&M's extension service regarding updates on issues affecting all farmers and ranchers. We raise registered Angus cattle and A&M has an extensive bovine department.
Now to the important stuff. Austin, the home of the Longhorns, is a far left liberal progressive city primarily because of the student body of the University of Texas. People call Austin "Little Moscow on the Colorado." Truthfully, though, I despise them because of their "holier than thou" attitude.
Love the Frogs and will continue to follow them despite their bad year in 2016. A&M has been struggling mightily the last 3 years as well. Baylor has had more than their share of problems with the sexual misconduct of some of the football players. So, I guess I'll stick with my Alma Mater, the University of Houston.
Thanks for your welcome. Hook 'em...gig 'em...or, whatever.
