    WARSAW, Poland Poland will seek the arrest and extradition of a Minnesota man exposed by The Associated Press as a former commander in an SS-led unit that burned Polish villages and killed civilians in World War II, prosecutors said Monday.

    I don't see the point of prosecuting a 98 year old who has Alzheimer's at this point in time. He'll be dead before he ever sees the inside of a Polish court room.

    There is a time for punishment and a time for mercy. It's too late to punish him.

    I agree. There won't be any scores settled or burdens lifted by following through with this.
