A Jacksonville teen was sentenced Monday morning to 30 years in prison for a murder he committed when he was 12 years old.
Fifteen-year-old Sharron “Tommy” Townsend pleaded guilty in June to second-degree murder in the slaying of 54-year-old Thomas Zona Trent in June 2014. As a part of the plea, Townsend’s sentence was to be between 10 and 40 years
