Here's the thing; I know Socialism will fail, it's failed everywhere it's been tried. I'm not saying I hope he's successful bringing Socialism, I'm saying I hope he pulls to the center and doesn't go too far Left. Because here's the thing; we know he's going to be able to pass whatever he wants through Congress and there's absolutely nothing we can do about it. As Conservatives and Libertarians, we're screwed. They basically have a fillibuster-proof Congress coming into session; they didn't get the 60 seats needed but they'll probably pick up 1 if Franken steals Minnesota and there are enough libtard Repukes like Olympia Snowjob who will give Pelousy and Reid carte blanche to do whatever they wish. My hope is for the future of this country he wont go off the deep end into full blown Socialism and we'll be able to muster a strong enough Conservative movement to win some seats in 2010 to stop his advances and ultimately beat him in 2012.

I think that the people he is choosing to be on his cabinet indicates that he is moving to the center. He had to campaign somewhat to the left to defeat Hillary in the primaries and to get the vote from the die-hard anti war people, who may have gone for Nadar, if he didn't.

I'm not a fan of Pelosi, especially since she and her cohorts dissed John Dingell last week. They were wrong to treat a respected congressman with as many years service as he has in such a poor manner, just in order to make some kind of half-assed environmental statement. I don't live in his district, but Rep. Dingell is well-liked and respected in the Detroit area, by both parties and especially by hunters, because he is one of the pro-2nd amendment democrats.
