Looks great, SR!
I'm impressed with how your big screen captured the sunrise. Mine doesn't do that! :D

How much do you want to spend?
You can get a freaking STEAL on KEF iiQ9s online right now. I think that dollar for dollar you will not find better front speakers. www.onecall.com has them for a real bargain, and you can get some surrounds and a center that match up well.
I personally like Focal and Mirage for the money, but we are stepping up now. A nice set of Focal or Mirage front speakers will cost you $1800-$3000 per pair.
Here is what I suggest - invest in speakers. The technology is slow to change and that investment will last you a long time. Even if it means using a $400 receiver to power them, you will notice a lot bigger difference by investing more in speakers than investing more in a receiver.
For the price, I suggest Onkyo and Denon receivers. Buy them online. Dont buy them locally. You will save a lot of money and still get a warranty.
If you want to spend a little more, Cambridge Audio makes some awesome stuff. They also have a great media storage center and a wonderful CD Player. But now we are talking serious money.
Rotel is great too.
Just do yourself a favor - go to a real home audio/video store (not Best Buy or Sams) and take a good listen. Once you listen to good speakers, your life will be ruined forever.
On edit: Oops! You already purchased. Nevermind!

Those are greyt looking Beebs but overkill for us. The room the TV and
system are in is smallish, the Sony system I bought is perfect for the
room.:)

Ah, c'mon. A couple of bleeding ears never killed anyone ;)
But i have to say, for the price you got an amazing deal right there. Nice job.
But sometime, just for fun, take your favorite CD over to your local high-end audio store for a cool experience. I suggest "Run On" (aka "Gods Gonna Run You Down") by Johnny Cash off of his "America V: A Hundred Highways" album or "Colorblind" by Counting Crows off of the Cruel Intentions soundtrack.
They will blow your mind!
If I get a chance I'll do that, we do have a high end sound place
near us. Sony makes pretty good stuff and this system is a good example.
