    O.J. Simpson was granted parole Thursday for convictions connected to a robbery in Las Vegas about a decade ago. He could be out of jail as early as October.

    The moment the former football star received his fourth and final vote from the Nevada Board of Parole recommending release, Simpson dropped his head before responding, “Thank you.”

    He didn’t look at his attorney or his daughter Arnelle Simpson, who had come to argue for his release. After nine years in prison, Simpson, 70, instead bowed his head again and placed his hands on the simple wooden table; once again, his every movement was broadcast to millions of people on national television who were curious to see his fate.

    On social media, a familiar cry rang out: “The Juice is loose.”

    Aaaargh!

    Soon to be "Juice on the loose" huh?

    Wonder how he will do on the real Judgement Day?

    Yes I know, this parole board in Nevada went by the state rules, such as they were ...

    But he WILL, one day get his just deserts!!!

    A lot can happen in a few months. He could catch a charge or piss hot during his exit urine or a myriad of other things. I've seen my share of parole being rescinded in my career.

    Assuming he gets out in October I'm
    sure he'll do something stupid and get
    thrown back in.

    Once he's on parole it won't take much.

    I don't know. It depends on how tight of a leash his daughter Arnelle keeps on him. He might have learned his lesson about staying out of trouble, or have realized he's too dumb to get away with crimes.

    From what I heard all the talking heads saying last night he had a chance
    way back to make a deal for a 30 month sentence and he turned that down
    so I don't think OJ is the sharpest knife in the draw.

    Simpson reportedly has $5 million in contributions to a retirement plan run by the Screen Actor's Guild, according to USA Today. The exact amount of money now in that account is known only to Simpson and his financial advisers.
    <snip>
    ..... according to the NFL benefits formula, he could receive as much as $100,680 a year if he waited until age 65 to start drawing his pension.
    Ex-players have the option of receiving benefits as young as 45, or can start at 55, but financial advisers say it pays to wait till 65.
    <snip>
    ... Social Security ... the maximum current benefit for someone retiring at age 70 is $3,538 a month, or about $42,000 a year.
    Simpson lost a $33.5 million civil judgment to the families of Ron Goldman and his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson after he was tried and acquitted for their murders. Most of that money has never been collected.
    But retirement income is protected from that judgment under federal law. CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin says if Simpson moves to Florida, state law also provides him additional protections, making it easier for him to keep his house and other assets.
