    Here, in San Jose Ca. (area code 95132), the eclipse will start at 0902, end at 1138, with peak coverage (74.3%) at 1016.

    Like the first one I was in, don't even bother looking at it. A shred-of-corona will sizzle your optics the same as the full sun.

    The novelty is the dimness/darkness at midday.

    I remember many years ago a local Illinois newspaper including some type of template that helped you make your own viewing glasses. Don't remember which eclipse, I was just a kid and if I remember correctly it just had a small dot for an eye hole.
