Just saw where Irma could even jump up and hit the Western Carolinas and Tennessee, but not as badly as Florida.

i just hope it isn't nearly as bad as some of the predictions, but unfortunately it's not looking good.

I have friends back home in South Alabama. I hope they're going to be ok. Haven't heard anything from them.

The 'waiting for it to make its final direction-change' sux.

I share family-property in Sebring, but everybody's in the upper Midwest except for one of my mom's cousins running around with a roll of duct-tape, X-ing windows.

Plywood is too expensive and annoying to store.

    she made landfall

Hurricane Irma roared into the Caribbean Wednesday, passing over the islands of St. Martin and Barbuda as residents were forced to shelter indoors as they faced power outages, battled 185 mph winds and braced for 11-foot waves from the most powerful Atlantic Ocean hurricane in recorded history.

Not really. It's the Carrib. This is why
Sept is peak hurricane season. The Gulf is real
    warm too.
