I always wondered about this and it's
good to know, especially in flood prone
    states along the coast.

How far above sea level are you???
May the FORCE be with you!

We've been worried about SR's parents in Sarasota, who are riding it out in their home. Gov. Scott said to run for the hills (he didn't really say it quite that way) for any elevations 17 feet or under. SR looked it up and his parents are at 22 feet. That's a relief. Now if their roof holds.

Right around 1200 feet, in an Ozark mountain valley.

Approx. 2,000 feet for the town proper, in north east Georgia ...

Plus, we live at the top of a small mountain.

As for our place in Florida ...

Prefer not to think about it at the moment. Is on the ICW about 30 odd miles south of Sarasota.

151 ft, 25 feet above the river surge (and a quarter mile from the lapping water) of the San Jacinto.

Figured that out while Harvey was in town. And it's a good thing too. Can't get your site to work....

According to what I can find 387 ft. However, if it floods here I have a lot more to worry about than my house.
