A judge in St Louis has taken a long time to render a verdict. There is no jury in this case, probably because the police officer's attorney realizes the jury pool in the City of St Louis. There are barricades around the courthouse where the decision will be announced, another nearby courthouse, and the police headquarters.

My question is, what is going on in our country where clergy and remnants from the BLM folks from Ferguson can demand a specific verdict---guilty---while the judge is deliberating. Maybe he thinks that he can out wait them. I doubt it. Perhaps he's afraid of violence erupting in the city, which they've promised, if he doesn't convict the officer. No matter what, this should not be allowed in our country, in my humble opinion. I don't care what the issue is, a judge should not be allowed to be threatened to rule a certain way or a city will erupt.

    CONVICT OR ELSE

ST. LOUIS • A group of clergy calling for the first-degree murder conviction of former St. Louis police officer Jason Stockley delivered a warning Friday to the judge in the case.
“Any decision rendered by you other than a guilty verdict will make you liable for any ensuing unrest or acts of aggression,” the group wrote. “In biblical terms, ‘the blood will be on your hands.’”

The letter was presented Friday in St. Louis as a group of about 25 St. Louis clergy members marched from Poelker Park across Tucker Boulevard to the steps of the Civil Courts building demanding a conviction. As they walked, they sang “Woke Up This Morning with My Mind Stayed on Freedom.”
In a similar gathering early last week, a group that included some of the clergy warned of “mass disruption” if Stockley is acquitted of murder.

Stockley fatally shot Anthony Lamar Smith, 24, after a police chase on Dec. 20, 2011. Prosecutors have alleged Stockley planted a .38-caliber revolver in Smith’s crashed Buick after shooting him five times at close range.

Here's further info from the article:
“We don’t condone violence, but there will be mass disruption if we can’t get justice,” said Stancil, of the Wayman AME Church in St. Louis.

“By delaying the verdict you have built up pressure in this city, and when you build up enough pressure, that pressure needs somewhere to go,” Stancil said. “We are trying to make sure that it does not burst and explode out into the city, but if it does, it’s not our fault.”

After reading the letter aloud, a few participants went to the Carnahan Courthouse where they taped a copy of the letter to the door of the judge’s office and slid a copy under the door to the courtroom. They also held hands in a circle and prayed.
How can they be allowed in that courthouse to tape a threatening letter to the judge's door and slip a copy under the door? I've been in that courthouse numerous times, as many in that building were my clients when I was in sales. There's security in that courthouse. You have to explain where you are going and be cleared to go there. I couldn't just randomly go to a judge's office. This smells to high heaven.

The clergy should be arrested for clear threats of violence, inciting violence and obstruction of justice.

I personally believe police all around the nation should have a stand down and let these animals thin themselves out, it would take about a month and you would see these same people begging for a police presence in the neighborhoods.

They're already doing it in the actual City of St Louis. After many years of sales in St Louis to governmental offices, I've decided it's not worth taking my life into my hands by going into the city anymore. I stay in the more sedate suburban areas. Sometimes I think that St Louis has more of a rivalry than baseball (Cards vs Cubs) with Chicago. Almost every night on the news there are stories of more shootouts. They literally are thinning themselves out. It's so sad when they're shooting into houses with their high powered weapons and killing innocent little kids and women.

A person who used to be a buyer for the police department told me she bought soap dispensers for the cops that were safe for their hands. Apparently they'd be so angry and frustrated with so much of the cr__ they put up with that they'd bang their hands on the dispensers with a piece of metal protruding from the bottom that you'd have to push to get the soap out.

I know there are some bad cops out there, but what they go through is awful. And I don't really envy that judge, either. If he dares go against them, there will be rioting. Maybe the Rev Al will even pay us a visit.
