Fire Extinguishers banned as a fire safety hazard!!

Fire extinguishers could be removed from communal areas in flats throughout the country because they are a safety hazard, it has emerged.

The life-saving devices encourage untrained people to fight a fire rather than leave the building, risk assessors in Bournemouth decided.

There are fears that their recommendation, which has seen the extinguishers ripped out of several private, high-rise flats in the town, could set a national precedent.

Heck, over the Thanksgiving weekend we got into a conversation about how I actually survived through childhood! My mom used to shoo me out of the house on a saturday morning and did not expect me back till dinner time!!!! I would grab my baseball glove, my bike and go for the day. And to this day she has no clue how daring we were! Cuts, sprains and bumps on your head were badges! If i were a kid today I would feel like a sissy riding my bike with elbow pads, knee pads, helmet and probably a governer on my sprocket!

Yes there are. I saw part of the Golden Compass this week. What stuck out was the stereotypical portrayal of the Church (the Magisterium or whatever its name was in the movie) as this great evil organization dedicated to keeping people stupid and dependant for it's own power trip. Typical lib think. And what do we see in all this nanny state fertilizer? The government keeping people stupid and dependent for it's own power trip. And that is what these stupid socialist libs are begging for and working for. Don't fight the fire yourself, wait for your almighty government to take care of it for you, by the time they get there the damage will be 1000 times worse (no disrespect to any firefighters intended, but time+fire=bigger fire) Don't shoot that intruder yourself, wait for your almighty government to take care of him for you, by maybe throwing him in a jail where he is fed, allowed all of his civil rights, and learns to be a better criminal, while you likely lay six feet under. Don't pay your bills yourself, let your almighty government take care of them for you, with the 90% of your paycheck they take before it ever reaches you.
