Former Sen. Fred Thompson (R-Tenn.) said he's "concerned" about the relationship between President-elect Barack Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).

"Oh, it will be a mess," Thompson said on Fox News's "Your World With Cavuto."

Thompson, a failed candidate for the 2008 GOP presidential nomination, praised Obama for his Cabinet appointments so far.

“He's certainly, with his appointments and with the things that he's said since the election, predictably, he's moved more toward the center. And that's a good thing," he said.

He also warned Obama not to raise taxes and criticized the use of federal money to bailout companies.

"We're going down the road of spending ourselves to prosperity," Thompson said. "And we're going to wake up a little bit later on, we and our children, and see that we have committed, obligated ourselves, and maybe spent trillions of dollars that we don't have."

Unfortunately for America, Americans have spoken and got what we asked for. A LIBERAL America headed by the most inexperienced, untried, unready Socialist President elect ever and his incompetent yet useful idiots, Pelousy and Reid.

If Fred's so concerned, maybe he should have run for president.

He did and he is suitably and rightfully concerned given the lunacy of Pelousy and Dingy Harry. Do you have some kind of counter evidence that Nancy and Harry are anything but disasters?

I think her sarcasm was more directed at the lack of enthusiasm Fred put into his run. I was disappointed myself. If he was a little more fired up, we might not be in the spot we are today.

I figured that was the case. Actually this is one of the biggest problems with our voters, we demand flash instead of substance. Even with our sports stars the ultimate goal is to be larger than their talent. People have to be famous for being famous. Fred is either a good, qualified, and suitable candidate or he is not. Since he wasn't polished and packaged for delivery, he failed.

We will wish we had been more intelligent collectively when the fallout from the Chosen One begins. I'm thinking of investing in ACME wheelbarrows so I can get ahead of the curve. People are going to have to carry their money that way very son.
