Sarah Palin Still Wearing Campaign Clothes

After a 12-day hiatus, Sarah Palin stepped back into the spotlight on Monday to campaign for Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss. Spectators experienced déjà vu as the Alaska governor sported the same jacket she had worn on the campaign trail this fall. Was Palin valiantly recycling old clothes or defiantly wearing items from her $150,000 wardrobe? You be the judge.

    Yet according to this blog:

One look at the required document the RNC filed with the Federal Election Commission shows that all of the clothes were purchased in the month of September. So how could Palin have been wearing anything from the RNC wardrobe on August 31? That outfit is obviously one of her own, acquired before she became John McCain's running mate.

Someone must have given Strzemien a little clue after she posted her hit piece, because she went into CYA mode and posted an update, asking her readers, "So was Palin valiantly recycling old clothes or defiantly wearing items from her $150,000 wardrobe? You be the judge."
Indeed, the huffington post has a pic:

According to Politico that broke the story on Palin's clothes:

"According to financial disclosure records, the accessorizing began in early September and included bills from Saks Fifth Avenue in St. Louis and New York for a combined $49,425.74.

The records also document a couple of big-time shopping trips to Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis, including one $75,062.63 spree in early September.

The RNC also spent $4,716.49 on hair and makeup through September after reporting no such costs in August."

Even if they were the same outfit, who cares? Maybe she liked the one they bought for her to wear for the campaign, so she went out and bought a similar one. She wouldn't be the first woman to do so.

I'm confused. The RNC supposedly bought these clothes. The RNC provides campaign funds for the candidate's needs. The Candidate needed clothes. The RNC bought clothes. What the heck is the scandal again?

I guess the "scandal" was that she might financially benefit from these clothes. (I know you know this.) And because libs would have taken advantage of it they expect that a conservative would too.

Of course had the RNC not bought her clothes for campaigning the DUmmies would have gone on and on about how inappropriately she was dressed. But because the money was spent and because Cindy McCain has money all they could talk about was how obscene it was that they spent all that money on clothes.

But Michelle, now Michelle is different. She deserves to dress in designer clothes. She worked for it and after all she is the wife of the messiah and was going to be the future first lady. (The DUmmies are all about double standards.)
