A Sanders-Warren ticket could win big in 2020

On March 19, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will host a town meeting about income inequality that will feature Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), film producer and director Michael Moore and the New School economics professor Derrick Hamilton.

This subject is one of the most important issues facing all Americans in their daily lives. It strikes at the heart of the matter of jobs, wages, economic opportunity and the core fairness of the American economy.

Let's consider the Democratic options for the presidential ticket in the 2020 elections, with emphasis on the possibility of a Democratic ticket in 2020 of Sanders for president and Warren for vice president.

Democrats are blessed with a large number of excellent potential candidates in 2020 and should consider and confront the mythology spread by Republicans and some insider Democrats that the most progressive Democratic candidates are not the most electable Democratic candidates.

The first model for a Democratic ticket in 2020 would be led by Sanders and Warren. This would be the progressive populist ticket offering the most bold and sweeping agenda.

The second model for a Democratic ticket would be led by former Vice President Joe Biden, running with a vice-presidential nominee such as Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) on a ticket that combines vast presidential calibre experience and a widely respected younger generation progressive leader.

The third model for a Democratic ticket would be led by Rep. Joe Kennedy III (D-Mass.), a rising star of House Democrats, running with a vice presidential nominee such as California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who formerly served as chairman of the House Democratic Caucus in Congress, or Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.).

This ticket would offer a bold and daring move for dramatic political and generational change.

And while on topic, we could only pray for the Sanders/Warren ticket. A mummified communist and a fake indian. Now thats a winner.

Seeing how bernie and wife are under investigation for bank fraud I doubt we'll see bernie running for anything but the door. Falsifying loan papers in the millions of dollars can get both a nice lengthy prison sentence and even if it don't, if convicted he won't be eligible to run for anything but dogcatcher

Oh I agree. It could win big...for Trump. Unless prison inmates, dead people, and illegals vote in record numbers.

I will agree that barring a global economic collapse, Bernie has no chance in 2020. However, he would have won in 2016 and we owe James Comey (the turd) a great big THANK YOU.

Suppose that Comey had ended his July 2016 non-indictment announcement with a recommendation for indiictment. The Democrats would have had no choice but to nominate Bernie. Jill Stein, the Green candidate in 2012 and 2016, didn't attract one million more voters nationally based on her popularity or platform.

Michigan: Suppose the Greens had polled 0.46% of the vote in 2016, like they did in 2012, rather than the 1.07% that they actually got.
That difference, 0.61%, probably would have gone to Sanders. That difference alone would have kept Michigan blue.

Pennsylvannia: Suppose the Greens had polled 0.37% of the vote in 2016, like they did in 2012, rather than the 0.81% that they actually got.
That difference, 0.44%, probably would have gone to Sanders. That difference alone would have reduced Trump's margin of victory from 44,292 to to 15,695.

Add to this Democrats who knew Hillary would win, knew she was a corrupt POS and just stayed home. Add to this all of the PO-ed Berniebots who knew Hillary would win, knew she was a corrupt POS and just stayed home or voted Green. Add to this that the possibility that Jill Stein would have endorsed Bernie and withdrawn from the race. There is almost no difference in their ideology. Add to this the milions of non-ideological traditional Democrat voters who wanted change in Washington but saw Trump as the only alternative. Add to this the undeniable fact that the socialist label is nowhere the stigma today compared with a few decades ago, thanks to our educational system.

The only rational conclusion that I can draw from all of this is that, were it not for James Comey's exoneration of Hillary in July 2016, we would today be talking about President Bernie Sanders and the unspeakable atrocities he would be inflicting on America. We truly dodged a big bullet.

She refuses to take a DNA test to prove her 1/32nd Indian heritage. Which she claimed to gain status ages ago. Plus, she & crazy Uncle Bernie are too left leaning to win a general election.
