How much did ya get lacarnut??? :DFor the first time in nearly four years, snow fell across the New Orleans region this morning, with flurries reported on the north shore and in the city, Metairie, Kenner, LaPlace and other parts of the south shore. By around 10 a.m., the snow had mostly stopped, replaced by freezing rain in many places, making driving treacherous. By noon, the precipitation had mostly ceased altogether.

We're looking at another storm this weekend. It's great, though. Decent skiing and all my Christmas shopping is done. I don't care. :D

We got 3 inches; the record is 3 1/2 but we did break a record for the earliest snowfall on record. There were many, many wrecks this morning with road and interstate closures.

Can't believe 3 inches in La. I had lived in San Antonio long ago. They had 1 inch (had lived there for 7 years and it was the first snowfall). All the interstates were closed and wrecks were everywhere. It's rough if you're not accustomed to snow.
They've forecasted ice here Sunday and Monday. I HATE ice.

I have a feeling that we are going to have a very cold winter. Last several years have been very mild with only a few days reaching below freezing.
