I want to thank you.

Because for the last 7 years I've been wearing a uniform for an Imperialistic Government who doesn't at all represent what I thought it did. I guess when I was deployed to Kygryzstan, the school we rebuilt there was just for propaganda purposes. Or all of the times that we send medical missions to South America to give people basic medical and dental care that they'd never recieve otherwise is just a big lie that we spread to earn the love and trust of the little people before we move in to take over their country. All the airlifts we do into Africa with life sustaining food and medical supplies is just more propoganda. And never mind the hospital ships that we have doing their things in South East Asia.

You've opened my eyes. For my whole adult life I thought that we where just doing this out of the kindness of our hearts, because it was the right thing to do. But no, you've shown me that it is all a lie that we are perpetrating to advance our Imperialistic design apon the world. I'm now going to go home and burn my uniforms and never take up these evil intentions ever again!

It's possible that the US does a few token things to help for propaganda purposes. What they may give is nothing compared to what they steal. What they may give will get lots of press coverage and what they steal gets zero press coverage.

Not. Our Gov't is not a single entity that assumes a personality trait. Our gov't is the people. What those people do may be evil or good, but the gov't they serve is simply the mechanism they use toward that end.

I haven't read much else from truthout.comHere is a huge problem, your source. I just found that article that talked about the history of the US and Iraq and it was consistent with what I hear from people who have travelled to that area.

Also, why don't you do some HONEST research? You start with a conclusion and then go find all the supporting evidence from sewers like Truth out (which got its name from out of truth).

Start with an honest and neutral premise. I suggest "Is the United States Imperialistic?" Then go to legitimate and rational websites/articles/books to research the premise. Analyze the evidence you uncover, then form your conclusion.
While you're at it ask yourself this:

1. What is the definition of Imperialism? and
2. Does the United States fit this description?

You sound like the typical irrational liberal knucklehead with every post. You won't get banned for it, but you sure will be ridiculed.
