I'm surprised it took this long for
ABC to find a reason to nuke her...

by Frank Pallotta and Brian Stelter

ABC canceled its hit sitcom "Roseanne" on Tuesday after the show's biggest star, Roseanne Barr, went on a racist Twitter rant.

"Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show," ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said in a statement.

The cancellation was a shock in Hollywood. The revival of "Roseanne" premiered to huge ratings just three months ago.

And her being pro-Trump I'm sure had nothing to do with it...

Rush Limbaugh gave a great reason why this is hypocritical. Doesn't Roseanne have freedom of speech, just like the NFL kneelers? And her "infraction" wasn't even on the job.

Granted, her comments were a bit too much. But Valerie Jarrett is a freaking slimeball.

And looks a lot like Ari from the Planet of the Apes remake. I mean, you be the judge:

When asked to comment Valerie screamed, began pounding her chest and proceeded to throw turds.

Since they axed it this fast (a couple hours), I agree that ABC was looking for a reason to get rid of a popular conservative-view show before the mid-terms.

Jarrett, who'll soon by indicted by the DOJ for Abuse Of Power, needs to be condemned at every opportunity for the Iran-deal and the unmasking of private US-citizens... but ya gotta do it more intrinsically, so your audience has to think about it.

I didn't know an ape was a derogative term applied to Persians.

Oh my, you are so bad! Ha! Ha!

Am at the moment gritting my teeth while watching "Every Day Racism in America" on wonderful MSNBC!

Simply to see Ms. Valerie Jarret's reaction to Roseanne Barr's tweets and firing.

This was on local talk radio that had me thinking.

What's the chances in 2 -3 months that Fox doesn't pick up Roseanne considering the high ratings the show had?

After all, they saved last man standing.

    Did anyone watch the show?

In the last episode, Roseanne is leery of their new Muslim neighbors, who end up helping Roseanne out. By the end of the show, Roseanne is defending the Muslim family being here. Jackie's character was Pro-Hillary and Roseanne's nephew was cross-dressing (and Roseanne defended him).

If the show had a political viewpoint, it was more than one viewpoint. It sort of reminded me of 'All in The Family.' I think Roseanne had so much potential to bring people together....all at the iconic dinner table. It dealt with working class family issues head-on and that is so needed and so rare now.

    What a shame.

I would think another platform would pick it up.

I don't like that one little tweet can make a lot of people on one project lose their jobs. What is that buzzword, they call it, 'a conversation.' We aren't having much of a conversation if you censor speech!
