Incidentally....after I finished baking in the sun for 3 hours doing the yard-work...is there NOTHING finer after sweating your butt off than an ice-cold beer? I could bathe in it right now...mmmmmmm, beer...:D

Man, I thought this was about thermodynamics. That would be a lot cooler than some vacation stuff. But to answer your question, someplace that would require a few days to get home, a few hundred miles from civilisation.
I'm with Philly: The Appalachian Trail.
AT via Boulevard to Mt Leconte Lodge. Stay the night. Eat dinner and breakfast. Descent: Bullhead. Dinner and drinks at The Alamo.
Philly, you gotta do it. Between May and mid October. Dress comfortably and take warm fuzzies whatever the month.
I don't care for the "beach scene" all that much, but SR does. Guess I'd like to be on a beach in California. I'm thinking of Ano Nuevo beach, where the elephant seals pull up. Was there once and loved it. You have to walk almost a mile through deep sand to even get to it, but it's so beautiful there.
Other place that I'd love to be is in Hawaii. My all time favorite is Vancouver Island, on the west side, which is totally wild and remote. I don't like beaches lined with condos.
Just in from the Commie Cesspool after taking the client to a team dinner at a trendy Mexican restaurant on Park Avenue. There were dozens and dozens of very beautiful women there, many in groups, and all dressed very, very well! :D
TOTD: Paris, although London would be a close second.
