    Virginia‘s highest court has ruled that Democrat Gov. Terry McAuliffe‘s action restoring the voting rights of more than 200,000 felons was unconstitutional and illegal, according to Fox News.
    On Friday, the Virginia Supreme Court ruled that the governor overstepped his authority and should not have allowed tens of thousands of felons the right to vote. The GOP is hailing the ruling as a major victory for the rule of law, and argues that it could have a snowball effect across the country in other left-leaning states.
    In a 4-3 decision, the high court ordered the state to cancel the registration of roughly 11,300 felons who signed up to vote after McAuliffe’s April 2016 executive order. His ruling allowed many felons to vote in the 2016 presidential election, which happened to be a state Hillary Clinton won.

    Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
    Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
    Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
    21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
    And clever in their own sight! Isaiah 5:20-21 NASB

    Wait a minute, nothing in the Constitution says the feds decide who can vote, leaving requirements to the states (other than 15th and 19th amendments which say no one can be denied the ability to vote based on skin color or gender). So how is this a victory for the "rule of law"? Obviously it's having some repercussions already, based on some folks able to run for office in VA, but that is a ripple effect of short sighted, feel good legislation.

    This was a Virginia Court, not a federal court. When they say unconstitutional, they mean the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia, not he Constitution of the United States. Virginia's constitution permanently disenfranchises citizens with past felony convictions. McAuliffe attempted to nullify this by wholesale granting of executive clemency.
