Tesla CEO Elon Musk has claimed in a recent company email that an unnamed Tesla worker has purposefully caused ‘extensive and damaging sabotage’ to Tesla’s production line.

Musk sent a company-wide email to Tesla employees on Monday discussing a factory fire, which Musk seemed to imply could be the result of sabotage by an employee, CNBC reports. Musk said in the email that the individual had conducted “quite extensive and damaging sabotage” to the operations of Tesla, including tampering with production line code and even sent product data to unnamed outsiders.

The employee allegedly began to sabotage Tesla’s operations after he failed to receive a promotion that they thought he deserved. Musk said that following the revelation of his actions: “not promoting him was definitely the right move.” Musk urged employees to be extremely vigilant in the coming week as the company attempts to ramp up their production output to 5,000 cars a week, Musk stated that this was when the company was at its most vulnerable
