I just saw an advertisement for 'The Bold Type' TV Show for the TV station freeform. In the clip, a white girl complains that she didn't get the job because they had to hire someone else to fulfill their diversity requirements. Her black friend, tells her 'so, you are all for diversity as long as it doesn't affect you.'

Sounds like a great discussion of coming together right there! Race doesn't matter yet it should always matter? Work hard and best person for the job or just hand over the job? What happens when the employer meets the percentages to the exact decimal point? Do we then stop hiring for 'race' or we must maintain it -- people getting fired and hired constantly to maintain that percent. What if the population changes a bit that year?
