We were married in ‘63 but had a year of school left to get my degree. Once I started work in late ‘64, we moved...
Twice in 1965 in Ardmore, in 1966 to Lovington, in ‘69 to Enid and in ‘69 to Woodward. Between then and ‘79, we lived in Wichita Falls, Wichita KS, Ft Smith AR and Corpus Christi. In 1979 we moved to Houston and have lived in three more houses since all within an hour of downtown Houston.

Covered four states behind a moving van.

Wow, I can't complain after seeing that list of moves. But it's easier when you're younger. I always admire how the military make all those moves so seamlessly.

If we were taking all our stuff down here back up
north I thought of PODS too. But we are planning on
selling most of the stuff down here.

Our last move the mover quoted one thing, then once our things were on the truck, called before delivery and demanded another thousand. We re-thought the paying to haul old stuff. Our last trip to St Louis we had a U-Haul trailer and took my grandma's rocker and other things. Now I have to decide what will fit in another U-Haul trailer and sell the rest. We don't have room for all the things, but breaking my heart to part with some of the things that have been in the family for 100 years or more.
