    Rand Paul tweeted:

I look forward to the upcoming hearings, reviewing the record, and meeting personally with Judge Kavanaugh, with an open mind.
I don't like government meta-data collection either. Hope the two of them can come to terms on this.

Great pick, great family, great ceremony.

Pro semi-auto, bounce roe v. wade back to the States, no net-neutrality...

Sorry to learn that Shannon Bream was harassed outside. But she 'n her crew grabbed wheels and did her regular show from the studio.

I'm kind of surprised, I thought he'd pick Amy Coney Barrett, just to pick the most conservative of them.

I think Trump's saving her to replace Ginsburg when she leaves the court.

John McCain indicated his support for Kavanaugh:

He knows damn well how close this confirmation could be. Does he seriously believe that he will ever return to the Senate? Will they roll him in on a gurney if his vote is needed?

If not, why the hell doesn't he resign and allow a replacement senator from Arizona to take his place?

They need to check his meds list and if he is on the anti-dementia drugs already, he should be removed as unable to perform his elected duties, which he's been that way for decades now but you get the drift.

“MSNBC Live With Stephanie Ruhle” hosted a panel to discuss President Trump’s selection of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court and almost all of the panelists expressed their support of the pick on Tuesday morning.

“I think that he has intellectual and moral integrity. He’s extremely smart. He’s very qualified. His opinions are outstanding,” said Peter Wehner, the former director of speechwriting under President George W. Bush.

“So I really do think he’s a spectacular pick,” he continued. “I am a fierce critic of Donald Trump, but I’m capable of saying when he does something right. I think in this case, he did something right.”

W said something good about DJT:

"President Trump has made an outstanding decision in nominating Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court," {George W}Bush said in a statement. "Brett is a brilliant jurist who has faithfully applied the Constitution and laws throughout his 12 years on the D.C. Circuit. He is a fine husband, father, and friendóand a man of the highest integrity. He will make a superb Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States."

It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.
