new poll released on Monday by Valley News Live, the NBC-TV affiliate in Fargo, North Dakota, and Strategic Research Associates, shows that Republican Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) has jumped to a ten point lead over incumbent Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) in the North Dakota Senate race.

The poll of 650 likely voters in North Dakota conducted between September 17 and September 27 shows that Cramer now leads Heitkamp 51 percent to 41 percent, with eight percent undecided. It has a margin of error of 3.5 percent.

Cramer has increased his lead over Heitkamp by six points in the past few weeks.

A Fox News poll conducted between September 8 and 11, two weeks before the dramatic testimony of Brett Kavanaugh and accuser Dr. Christine Blasey Ford on September 27 before the Senate Judiciary Committee, showed Cramer with a four point lead, 48 percent to 44 percent, which was within the pollís margin of error.

Heitkamp is one of two Democrat senators who have not yet announced how they will vote on the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. The full Senate is expected to vote up or down on his confirmation this Friday

She's not the only one in trouble. McKaskill, Menendez, Stabenow(regardless of the polls), Nelson, Tester, and Manchin are all precarious. I actually see a net 4 pick up for the GOP. if that happens, Trump shouldn't have much trouble. I don't see the house flipping either. The Dems might pick up some seats but not enough to make a difference.

I'm surprised Heidi H isn't voting for Kavanaugh. I guess she figures that she's down so far in the polls that it won't help and will just tick off the base. McCaskill seems to be sinking in the Missouri polls. She needs to lose. Her ads now are really getting vicious, pushing class envy and scaring seniors---the usual dirty Dem tactics. I'm sure there will be lots of dead people voting in the upcoming election. That happens too often here.

Heitcamp is pretty much done. That should be a pickup. I think McCaskill is in trouble. Tester, Donnelly and Nelson are beatable as well. I don't put much faith in my fellow New Jersians to unseat Menendez. I think Manchin will pull it out since he voted for Kavanaugh. I'm curious about the Tina Smith race in MN. Hasn't been much polling recently. If Housley is getting the same bounce as the others than that race could be in play.

On the Republican side, Flake's open seat is in jeopardy and Heller is vulnerable. I think Cruz is safe even if RCP lists the race as a tossup. Corker's seat in TN is a close one, but I think Blackburn will take it.

Overall, I see the Republicans ending up with between 52-55 seats when all is said and done.

I hope the good people of NJ get rid of Menendez. He's a disgrace to their party. I don't like Nelson in Florida, but not burning angry with him. On the other hand, I REALLY don't like McCaskill and so happy that we'll have the opportunity this year to cast our votes for her opponent. Also hope that Cruz wins, ditto McSally in Arizona.
