St. Peter is giving some new arrivals a tour of heaven. In one neighborhood he say, "These are the ______s," in another, "These are the ________s." Then in one neighborhood he whispered, "Ssshhhhhh! These are the _____s. They think they're the only ones here."

Didja hear the one about religious show-and-tell day at school? As symbols of their religions a Catholic kid brought a crucifix, a Jewish kid brought a Star of David, and the Baptist kid brought a casserole, as a symbol of potlucks.

I love Baptists, but I have another one a Catholic friend of mine posted years ago.

Jews do not recognize Jesus at the messiah.

Protestants do not recognize the Pope.

Baptists don't recognize each other at Hooters.

Some people will get to know you and realize you're sincere, even if you're confused about the answers to some things.

Some people have their mind made up and that's just it. Don't bang your head against the wall.



And heck, maybe you are a liberal and you don't know it. Let's bring in the sixth sense kid.

I am certainly not liberal. I have dabbed in and did not like much of what I experienced. Granted, if we lived in a happy cartoon, it would work, but what I've experienced is shame, fear, guilt, manipulation tactics, facade of everyone as equals but not actual implementation, confusion, ignorance, and really, trauma.
