Well ... maybe someone can get a 'recipe' out of this?

The world’s hottest chilli pepper - so fiery it could kill someone who eats it -has been created in North Wales

But the record-breaking, weapons-grade creation, developed by hobby grower Mike Smith also has a more positive use. It was developed to be used in medical treatment as an anaesthetic because the oils that come from it are so potent that they can numb the skin.

The Dragon’s Breath is so powerful that one drop of its capsicum oil would be detectable in 2.48 million drops of water.

Maybe they should put that stuff in Tide Pods as a sterilizing ingredient.

I grow Ghost Peppers, the Reaper. I always wore rubber gloves when picking them. I wiped my brow without realizing it. In 10 seconds, I am half blind, staggering around the garden, waving my hands and screaming, get the hose, get the hose. The dog thinks I'm playing & is jumping all over me. I washed it out with distilled water. About a dozen rinses.

Reminds me of a Simpsons episode where Homer eats an "insanity pepper". Probably a clip on YouTube. Very funny and oddly enough a cool entire episode.

When I lived in New Mexico I took to raising Serrano peppers. I would raise them in one gallon containers and do a little research every year. I would typically plant seven containers and then vary the watering. I watered one every day, the second every other day, the third, every third day and so on. The last one got watered once a week.
Then one year I planted an eighth one and only watered it when the plant appeared to be dying. That was every 14 to 21 days.
Just about anybody including the two year old next door could eat off the everyday plant with no problem. There were some of us who enjoyed going on up to the seven day fruit but there were damn few who would take a second bite from that last bush.
We delighted in setting up two plates at the table. The first with the short water cycle and the second with the longer time but tell the newcomers they were all the same.

I'm a very lazy gardener. All the RAISED beds have drip irrigation systems. Plant & flip a switch. The only fertilizer I use ( other than ph correction ) is fish emulsion. The really good thing about raised beds is, GOOD DRAINAGE. A bit of work building a dozen 10 X 10 beds; but after that, easy gardening. I always work in a few tons of mushroom soil.
