Maria Lieberman posted a photo to her Facebook page of the lizard riding away in a Fish and Wildlife agent’s vehicle. “She’s going to the zoo!” Lieberman posted.
In the photo, the monitor is seen standing upright, looking out the backseat window as if to say goodbye to the home she’s known for months. It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

Kansas City animal control workers on Wednesday removed a seven-foot alligator, two ball pythons and a rabbit from a house in the eastern portion of the city.
The owner of the house was in the process of evicting a tenant when he found the alligator in a hot tub.
Sean Casey, the tenant, said the alligator’s name was Catfish and that it was “gentle as a puppy.”It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.

Some reptilian carnivores can be friendly... and cognizant. But that's no excuse for separating them from their habitat, unless you're committed to 'free roam' of an expansive living-space. In-and-outdoors. Ill-advised.
