Multiple 5+ earthquakes on the western edge of the Ring of Fire .The Northern Ring of Fire is the edge of the Northern Pacific Ocean Basin running up the Northern edge of Russia along the Aleutian islands bridge and down the West coast of America to Mexico !

Eight in past week, two of which were in the past hour. Probably just a statistical artifact, but something for the rest of us living on other parts of the Ring of Fire to keep in mind...

I think I read somewhere if the Ring of Fire ever went active, that would be the beginning of the end. Ash clouds and sunamis or solitons, it would be bad!

The core of the earth is a slowly rotating ball of molten rock, metals and other minerals aka magma .The Chinese believed that the continents were supported on the backs of turtles and moved slowly Northeast from Southwest,they wern't far from right .The continents actually are supported by massive rock formations molten on the lower edges that 'float on the central core.The Coriolis effect effect causes them to 'drift' north on massive 'plates' that are cracked at the edges.AS these plates move they grind together and create huge stresses at the boundries.Earthquakes are these stresses being relieved.The ring of fire is always active, always looking for a weakness to release some of the tremendous pressure build up in the central core.
