Don't know why the NWS has their panties in a wad. I've been watching the radar all afternoon and seen nothing other then garden variety storms. They even issued a tornado warning just east of here, with no circulation or super-cells present.

Yep, typical overreaction.

All you had to do was look at the radars, there wasn't even a bow echo
for gawd's sake. I think I heard thunder a grand total of 3 little booms.

Oh we got hit pretty good. 4 differant thunderstorms at least here on Scott. But nothing that could produce a tornado.

Ya never know about a tornado. Back a long time ago I was on Paradise Island
staying at the resort that is now The Atlantis. There had been T-Storms in the
area but nothing major to speak of and the sun was out. A fairly small dark
cloud drifted over the resort and popped a bolt of lightning that hit in the ocean.
It didn't produce and rain or wind and kept on it's way about 3 miles off the
beach when the sucker dropped a good size water spout!!! I got it on tape, made
for some excitement. :D

And it came VERY close to a parasailing platform, I don't think the people on it
were very happy...
