9 maybe 10 inches now. It's that heavy wet snow,
    the worst.

Snow has stopped for now but it's supposed to
    start up again.

The snow storms have been so weird this season. South of us, including yourself, have gotten pounded. Meanwhile, until today we've only had about 2 inches total.

Still falling lightly here, but no more than 3 inches total expected. No "snowmageddon".

On the rare occasion that we get ice or snow down here, I try to stay off the roads. People donít know how to drive in it. Hell, they donít know how to drive on dry pavement. Worst drivers Iíve ever seen.

I-44 was closed last night due to the storm and
all the accidents. We have snow on and off
all day so far, it may continue into Sunday.

It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

Yep, during my college days in TX the University called off school a couple of times if we got snow. They just didn't have enough equipment to treat the roads. Us native Midwestern folks knew how to drive in it, but not on an untreated sheet of ice covered by snow.

I ran the highway from Amarillo to Lubbock decades back with fresh snow about 6Ē deep on the 4 lane highway. Every body was traveling in the tracks of an 18 wheeler in the right lane. I popped over into the left and headed on out to the well. As soon as I passed the trucker I was breaking trail with no tracks on it.

Another time I was in Pampa pulling relief and woke up on Sunday morning to find a white world. I walked out the door to my room onto bare blacktop parking lot and the walked three sides of the vehicle with shoulder high drifts all the way around. Some dude just over the fence was doing loop-de-loops out of his yard onto the house roof and back down.
I finally got out of town about 4 days later by driving south to I-40 and crossing back into OK driving between walls taller than any truck I saw.
