I am an intelligent man; but not in tune with much of the new technology. Smart TV setup has become aggravating. Will not accept the wireless connection from my router, nor will it accept the hard wire eithernet cable connection. I call Samsung Tech Assistance, and I cannot understand the technician. I believe the accent may have been Martian. I’ll keep trying until I find a tech who speaks English. Another problem is, too many techs speak to you, as if you’re familiar with the particular terminology. If I knew the terminology, I probably wouldn’t be calling. No different than me expecting someone who has me installing a sophisticated water treatment system; and me expecting them to totally understand the process. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The odds are I am missing some setup step. Gotta be patient. A good tech ( who you can understand ) should be able to walk you through the process effortlessly. But ya gotta play Smart TV setup roulette, until you find that tech.

I by-pass the smart tv stuff by using a box with android on it. I use the Nvidia Shield and stream all my tv and internet channels through it.

So your TV is bi-polar then.

To some degree. The Nvidia Shield is also a gaming box that allows you to download games and also a become a client to Steam and will play any games you own on Steam. It comes with a small remote control and a game controller that can also function as a remote control for the tv set. I have a YouTube app so I can watch YouTube videos, Hulu and I use a streaming server called Vader Streams for all my live tv, sports events, it has 'video on demand' and a lot of other cool stuff. I pay $15.00 a month for the Vader Stream service. There are several thousand channels if you count the foreign ones.

Sounds great if you have the bandwidth but I doubt if any source I can get here could carry it without buying a corporate setup.
It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

That is too slow. The slowest speed I've been able to get it to work properly is around 20 to 25 Mbps.

I only wanted the smart tv so I can drag in you tube for old shows, films, etc. I have a ROKU unit that stinks. I will be patient.

I usually search youtube and see if there is a video guide on there. Usually is.
