    Apparently my 'new' (Christmas 14) smart TV lost its mind last night = no picture or sound.

    EUREKA !!! The eithernet cable is yellow. I follow it from the TV to the router. Plugged in at both ends. Hmmmmmmm. I take a closer look & find the yellow cable at the router is a short yellow cable one of the grand kids connected to his video game unit. MY YELLOW CABLE was unplugged & laying behind the desk.
