Favoring a front leg. What could have happened is beyond me. Her life is 1 1/2 hours a day eating, 1/2 hour a day in the back yard to do her business, and 22 hours a day sleeping on the futon, the hassock, the dog bed, or her Lazy Boy recliner. She also loves coffee grounds; and will take the used filter from the trash, and eat every single speck. Also a bit neurotic. She will take treats from your hand; but when I fill her food dishes, she will not eat until I leave the room ??? The vet said, since she's such a big dog, some coffee grounds will probably not harm her; but best keep them away from her to be safe. Coffee can kill a small dog. Most of the caffeine is already leached out after the coffee is made.

How old is she? Our grey was limping like that, but vet said it probably was from an old racing injury before we adopted her. The little rescued rat terrier also started limping. We started giving each of them Cosequin (greyhound 1 a day, little one 1/2) and both doing better.

Just a thought I hope is helpful Jim ...

Have you noticed the position of her front leg when she is sleeping all those hours of the day?

Perhaps she is resting the weight of her *large* body on that one leg too much, ( if being under her) and is causing it to give her pain.

Also as SLW asked of you ...

    How old is she?

Leg not as bad the past day or two. I'm guessing just a sprain; but I'll keep an eye on her. If I remember correctly, brewers yeast & cod liver oil in a dogs food helps with joint problems. I think an old vet told me that years ago. It worked for my Malamute.
