    National Popular Vote Interstate Compact

The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is how the Democrats are working on stealing the 2020 vote. Unable to abolish the Electoral College, the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact goes to individual states with Democrat majority legislatures and gets them to pass laws requiring states to award their electors to the winner of the popular vote. This is Constitutional: the States may award their electors the way they see fit.

So far, 12 states are on board.

If you combine this Democrat movement with the hundreds of thousands of votes from illegal aliens you have a recipe for PERMANENT Democrat/Socialist rule.

What can we do about this?

If these maps mean anything they cannot get enough states on board to have an effect. They’ve been working on this for many years.

That sounds like getting rid of the Electoral College by keeping it in name, but taking away any power it has. If you want to propose getting rid of the EC, be honest about your intentions, don't try to cloak it like this.

Exactly, I hope the court sees this for what it is and puts a stop to it.

The states trying to circumvent the Constitution should lose their right to affect a national presidential election

THE NATIONAL VOTE INTERSTATE COMPACT IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL:

    1. Under our present system, when we vote in a presidential election we are voting for the slate of electors pledged to a particular candidate.

    2. Under the NPVIC system, voters in participating states would be voting for the slate of electors pledged to the candidate with the most votes in the entire nation.

    3. Suppose NPVIC system is adopted by a sufficient number of states and is triggered by a discrepancy betweet popular vote and electoral college vote. There will be AT LEAST ONE of the NPVIC participating states who would send a slate of electors who do not represent the voters of their state. Call this State X.

    4. The Constitution Article IV. Section 4: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government...".

    5. A basic tennant of a Republican Form of Government is that the eligible voters are guaranteed the right to vote for representatives of their choice.

CONCLUSION: The NPVIC denies the voters of State X of their right to a Republican Form of Government and is thus unconstitutional. QED

Well said Sir, hopefully we will still have a SCOTUS who respects the constitution by then. But I;ll be long gone dust on the highway so I'll never know.

Seems like another case of progressives moving the goalposts because they can't convince people to support them at the ballot box. If their plans and ideas are so great, why is it so difficult to get enough supporters and voters? Answer: because us poor plebes just don't know what's good for us, we need the guidance of the great ones.

I say have at it. Then when Trump wins the popular vote in 2020 we'll see every one of those blue states renege on this in a heartbeat.
Progressivism is a bottomless pit of absurdity.
