Former Rep. Beto O'Rourke called for the establishment of farm-to-table restaurants in every community to combat poor nutrition.

Farm-to-table restaurants are part of a socially-conscious movement favored by wealthy urbanites that often features small, elaborately designed fare from local farms and are typically very expensive

Sounds like a fruitless idea !

Where will you find enough uncontaminated land to create local farms ?

    What size community ?

Will everyone in the community be required to work the farm ?

Will everyone be required to cook ?

    Will there be any wages?

Will the farms need agronomists to advise the farms ?

Ummmmm, if this were a highly profitable business model "everybody" would be doing it. It's a specialty business model because restaurants who do it have to serve high-end expensive food, and not enough customers can afford the prices other than for very special occasions. But Bobby is showing the understanding of business and economics that is typical among Ds.

Yeah, I can almost see the red hammer & sickle emblem flying in the background every time I see him talking.
