In my opinion, we have too many highly paid chiefs, and not enough Indians. When we run out of stuff, priorities suddenly change. I’m on the fence, deciding how I do or don’t deal with this.
My suggestion is deal with it by ignoring it all together. Let the chiefs handle any problems that might arise and relax. They can't blame you for stuff that happens while you're out on an approved vacation. Another reason is, if you let them think that you'll come in on a vacation day, they'll remember that and keep it in mind the next time you're on vacation and think they can drag you in to take care of a "crisis" at work.

I hear you and I agree, but I care about our area and I don’t want us to look bad. Unfortunately, some of this crap can become political. I’ve got 29 years there on August 13th. What is that, Tuesday? 29 years!

You convinced me... screw them all. If I didn’t go out of my way to talk to my night shift counterpart, I would be oblivious to this news. The Earth will still turn.

I really don’t know, I really don’t know what to do... The night shift owns me, even on my days off. Oh, well!

I saw Judas Priest in 1985 at the Hemisfair Arena in San Antonio, Texas. My ears were ringing for a week.

Kiss Destroyer was the first record I ever bought with my own money in 1976. Well, shit... I’m gonna have to play it now, much to the chagrin of my neighbors.
