So, how about sanctuary cities for women who need abortions?

Since the Christofascists have made it illegal for women to leave the state to get abortions, how about we offer them sanctuary in blue cities in the same way we're currently doing for illegals?

So, how about sanctuary cities for conservatives who kill liberals?

Since liberals make it clear that they're for killing unborn babies, high taxes, unrestricted immigration and socialism their policies are not only immoral but evil as well.

    One justification deserves another.

It isn't just Christians who oppose abortions. Lots of secular people are against it too. The pro-murder crowd really have only themselves to blame. If, as they originally stated, kept abortions rare and used as a last resort there probably wouldn't be the outcry that now exists. Since Roe V Wade the feminist view on abortion went from a claim for it to be rare to a call for abortion on demand, even after birth.

Their over-reach has given birth to a backlash of their own making. They won the battle but weren't satisfied with the victory and desired even more. It may have cost them the war.
Cast your burden on the Lord,
    and he will sustain you;
    he will never permit
    the righteous to be moved.

Is there some epidemic all over the land causing countless women to suddenly need abortions? The reaction from the left seems to indicate so.

    Well, yes, I guess ...

Especially for the young foolish ones that don't have either the desire nor sense to *not* indulge in sex without thinking about the possible consequences beforehand.

As for "The reaction from the left seems to indicate so."

Hmmm? Could it possibly be to garner as many votes as possible for the 2020 election?

    Since the Christofascists ...
Howzabout you stop chain-smoking your weed?

But keep up the "Christofascists" shtick. It'll be as effective as HilLIARy's "Basket of Deplorables" line. Let Evangelical Christians and people who actually know some just what Libs & Progs REALLY think of Evangelicals!

Poor, stupid DUmmie doesn't even realize that it's advancing an argument for overturning Roe v. Wade. Literally what the DUmmie is saying here is precisely what would happen if that case is overturned: it all goes back to the states to decide. And no, no one, not even Christians, have any law on the books making it illegal to go to another state to get an abortion. That's just BS.

I have doubts as to whether the USSC will uphold these various laws, in whole or in part, but the net effect would be that each state can have its own laws. And if DUpipo really believe California and other deep blue states would ban abortion, they truly are blindly-stupider than even I think they are.

I doubt very seriously that they will be upheld as they stand, but of course that's not the point. From a political standpoint, I disagree with the Alabama law, even if I actually do agree with it from a moral standpoint. I have said for a very long time now that I would be completely satisfied with a political compromise of allowing abortion in provable cases of rape or incest, because that would still eliminate more than 95% of all abortions (closer to about 99%). I'll take stopping 99% of abortions over stopping 0% of abortions every day of the week and twice on Sunday, even if I still don't like the remaining 1% happening.

But this is and always should have been a state issue, not a federal one. Doubtless the most volatile, divisive issue out of a myriad of cases in which the feds should have nothing to do with it and it should be a state issue.

But if the SCOTUS did rule that this is a State's rights issue then they would have no grounds to overturn them in part or whole.
