It did feel like Boston-fans were a little too braggy, going-in. Now they're listenin' to Gloria.
There are a lot of blue shirts worn everywhere around town with the word "Gloria" printed on them.

As for Boston fans, it sounded like they were booing the Blues players as they were introduced tonight. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and hope it was the St Louis fans in attendance saying "Blues", but it sure sounded like "boo" to me. But then Boston fans never were good sports, at least not Boston baseball fans.

Meanwhile in St Louis Busch Stadium (baseball stadium) had 26k people in their in a gigantic watch party and the hockey stadium (Enterprise Center) had over 20k people and Ballpark Village had thousands gathered there. We're still hearing fireworks going off out here in the suburbs (1:02am local time). I'm so proud of the way the hockey club represented the city and the way so far that the fans have acted. It's been a long dry spell---52 years. It's quite an accomplishment going from last place to the STanley Cup.

Congrats SLW. Being from the south I’ve never gotten into hockey but always glad when a friends team breaks out.

    EXCELSIOR!
It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

    Congrats, Blues and SLW!

The Blues have my second-favorite NHL emblem.

Thanks, Retread and Noonwitch. It's just so nice for something good to happen to my city. It's wonderful to see positive news coming out over the evening news to counterbalance the 4 kids shot in the last few days by drive-bys.

It should be exciting Saturday with a big parade downtown. It was cool today that many of the Blues players were at a restaurant in Brentwood, a suburb of St Louis, with the Stanley Cup. They were posing with it for the fans and signing autographs and being very accessible and friendly. There were pics of one of their star players Vladimir Tarasenko (sp?) having his newborn baby boy wrapped in a blanket in that Stanley Cup.

Someone should write a book about the adventures of that Stanley Cup as it is passed around from team to team. The pictures should be priceless.

St Louis is having a great party. The parade has been going on since noon and now finally in a huge rally under the Arch. They're estimating 250k people on the Arch grounds. It was very heartwarming with the players, wives, their kids, school bands, former players, the Clydesdales, a real St Louis party.

What is really nice is the interaction between the players and the fans. The team captain, Petroangelo, kept getting off the Budweiser wagon and lugging the Stanley cup and carrying it along the lines of fans and letting them touch it or kiss it. Many of the players were talking to the fans along the lines and spritzing with champagne or beer. And it's peaceful.

I'm so proud of my city and so happy that we moved back. It's more than just a win of the Stanley cup, although will say it's pretty impressive, going from dead last 3 months into the season to winning that Stanley Cup after 52 years of trying.

LGB---those initials have been flying back and forth over texts for some time in St Louis. Let's Go Blues.
