If they were talented enough to bang on a drum properly.

At work, Iím one of those quality over quantity guys, perhaps to a fault. IMO, I work with a bunch of corner cutting mofoís. If a job is worth doing, then it might as well be done correctly and right. I never learned how to do a half assed job on anything Iíll have to write my name on.

If youíre all time cutting corners, all you do is go in circles.
It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.
. If you ain't havin' fun, it's your own damn fault

    I'd say no.
    1) It has a fun beat and nice rhythm, neither of which would apply to the DUmmies on anything.
    2) It lacks the self- righteousness and sense of entitlement that the DUmmies possess as much as they possess laziness.
    3) The guy in the song DOES have a job. It's not a good one, he hates his boss, but he does it anyway. That's very much a conservative mindset (Work hard, even when it's tough and unpleasant to do so). He bangs on the drum as a hobby when he's not working to help vent his frustration ("I bang on the drum like it was my boss's head") and get himself in a happier frame of mind, and the song's famous refrain is just meant to be wishful thinking.
    4) The DUmmies' theme song is Beck's song "Loser." It has everything that sums them up: A depressing yet pretentious tone, with pessimistic sentiments expressed by a self- centered failure who'd rather give up on life than try and better himself and is so lazy and gutless that he cannot even bring himself to kill himself but instead asks someone else to do it for him. I cannot conceive of a better theme song for the DUmmies than that.
