Des Moines, Iowa (CNN)Former Vice President Joe Biden expressed deep skepticism of the leftward tilt of the Democratic Party in an exclusive interview with CNN airing Friday.

Biden, speaking with CNN's Chris Cuomo in Des Moines, Iowa, suggested that "Medicare for All" is irrational, argued that the majority of Democrats are "center left" not "way left," and said Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, while "brilliant" and "bright," did not represent Democrats who can win a general election in a competitive district or state.

The interview made clear that Biden, who is facing criticism from the left of the party amid an increasingly contentious Democratic primary, does not feel the need to sway to the left to capture the party's base and, instead, hopes to set himself apart by embracing his moderation

Now let's see how AOC and her groupies take this!!!
May the FORCE be with you!

Joe had a good interview with Cuomo. He was able to elaborate more fully on his views on busing, but still didn't say it the way he should say it. What he needs to say is that 1. Busing was not allowed in most areas between school districts. It was only allowed within a district.
    2. Because it was within a district, people who didn't like it were free to move to a district that didn't bus, contributing to further segregation and the "white flight" from cities like Detroit.

And just as an aside-my school district, Kentwood Public Schools, did not bus in the 70s. Do you want to guess which school district is the most diverse in Michigan? KPS. People moved to Kentwood, from all over the US and from all over the world (the Christian Reformed Church settled a fair number of refugees there).

They will not go quietly into the night. They might even resort to attack Biden for his Chinese and Ukrainian hanky-panky.

Glad he had a good interview. I'll try to find it on youtube.

I feel very sorry for Biden: he has a bunch of ankle-biting Marxists around him and he is trying to be an old-fashioned liberal Democrat. While I don't think he is toast--the big money wants him still--the base of his party is not very thoughtful and can't handle complexities or ambiguities.

Politics is a messy business, even when it's not corrupt. There is a lot of compromise that needs to happen, and for every item in a bill that your side thinks is great or necessary, there might be 2 other items that your side will hate. It's the nature of the sausage making. Biden is speaking from that context and needs to remind these young, ideologically "pure" Marxist firebrands that, in a republic, not everyone is for the totalitarian revolution and that compromise is necessary.

That's all that Biden was really trying to say about busing: sometimes you have to work with people whose ideas are the polar opposite of yours, even ideas that you think are dead wrong or immoral. And yet, you still have to work with them. That's called civility, and that's all Biden was trying to say. The young crazies should pay attention: they'll be required to do the same thing in their own political careers.

The only words of wisdom to come out of slo joe's mouth is when he said "government has failed you" to a gathering

Unfortunately for him he was part of it for over 40 years.
I love the sound of liberal heads exploding in the morning!!

Toxically masculine and proud of it!

I will give up my guns when the liberals give up their illegal aliens.
