Our cat Dizzy passed away suddenly yesterday. Unfortunately he died in front of my 5 year old. When I left for work, he looked fine but about a half hour later I got a call from my wife telling me that according to Sofia, Dizzy started running around in circles then just fell to the floor. He was less than 3 years old and my daughter is crushed. So are we. My morning routine is no more. Every morning when I would come home he would meet me at the door and when I would sit and decompress, he would jump on my lap and sit there and purr. Also, it's the first time since 1997 that we won't have a cat in the house. We went from Bailey to Max to Sammy to Abby to Dizzy and now no more kitties. So, I'm never going to see this pose again:

I feel for your daughter and for your family. It's painful losing an animal's presence in the house.

Sorry for the loss of the cat, I don't have any but still love them. Strange symptoms for a cat to die with, usually it's kidney failure with severe bloating with fluid and not able to breathe. All cats no matter the species have the same with that kidney failure, even lions and tigers eventually have it.

    R.I.P., Dizz.

Sounds like it may've been a brain-aneurism. He goes ahead to join the others waiting for you.

Sorry to hear NJ, give the little one some time then introduce her new dependent whether bird, white rat, cat or goldfish.
It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

I am sorry. Prayers for your little girl.

So sorry, especially in front of your little girl. That's so young to lose a cat. Dizzy is so cute in the picture.

Sorry for your family. Loosing a pet can leave a home feeling empty.
