My grandma played ragtime, classical, blues, and stride piano for over 80 years. She called this dance the Irish Flatfoot. [

I curse the feckin day I became a pipe fitter. Running ungodly heavy pipe, and ruining my joints. This I really loved. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUGsLoZYXb4 1) I grew up exposed to wonderful music & dancing. Pa Coal Regions. The grandma Vilula knew the Dorseys, Fats Waller, and more great musicians. My grandmotherís house had the motion of a rugby match. The piano smoking & constant music. Sometimes the whole family would roll up the rugs & dance. I miss it so much. I became a great dancer because of my grandmother. Once I could do it all. Anyway, wonderful memories.

Like I said, my grandma's house was always rockin. Constant motion, music, people. The only time I remember near dead silence was, when she played Clair de Lune. Everything just stopped until she finished the piece.
