I never thought of it as an ethnic slur.

My mom had 3 brothers. We used to refer to one of my uncles, who was a little slow and was married to a woman who pushed him around a lot, as the "Fredo" of the family, and sometimes we still call my mom "Constanza" behind her back, especially when she was dating the creepy psychologist and being all needy.

Speaking as someone of Italian decent, Fredo is not an ethnic slur. No more than Guido is. It's a stereotype. That said, funny how egregious this was but calling Trump "Hitler" every 5 seconds and labeling every Trump supporter racist white nationalists(even the black and brown ones apparently) is A-OK with Cuomo.
Progressivism is a bottomless pit of absurdity.
