Cape Fear from 1962 on TCM tonight, 7 pm DST.

one of the most tense times I ever spent in front of a movie screen and twice so compared to the remake.

It's not how old you are, it's how you got here.
It's been a long road and not all of it was paved.

I never saw the original, but I did see the remake.

I saw both. The remake is disturbing, the original has two really awesome actors in the lead roles.

I saw Once Upon A Time In Hollywood over the weekend. It is really good, but the last 10 minutes or so are brutal-satisfying, from a wishful thinking perspective. My sister covered her eyes. It's probably Tarantino's best. Great performances from Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margo Robbie.

I saw the 1991 version; it differs from the book in that the lawyer provided an inadequate defense instead of actually testifying in court against the rapist. I especially liked the part when the daughter sets the rapist on fire; I'm thinking, "good girl!".

I saw the original and the remake... and forgot the plot of both of them.

Some lawyer's kid either gets kidnapped or raped and the lawyer has to confront what happened. Tired.
